PTU wears the crown of Best Technical University!

Being awarded as the best in the field you serve, is the moment of immense pride and glory for any institution or organisation. The enthusiasm and eagerness to perform better increases to a higher level when you get recognised and appreciated by the officials of the highest order in the country in the arena you work. Here is the good news for all the students, teachers and staff members of Punjab Technical University, as the university has recently been awarded as the Best technical University for the year 2013.

The Award instituted by Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) encourages technical universities to enhance their performance and to serve the community as well as stakeholders by improving quality and maintaining standard of the programs offered. The Award consists of a cash prize of Rs 1, 00,000 (Rupees One Lakh Only), a plaque and a citation. It was presented to PTU during the 43rd Annual Convention of ISTE on December 19, 2013 at Kolhapur (Maharashtra).

Reacting on this pleasant achievement, Dr. Rajneesh Arora, Vice Chancellor, PTU, said, “We thank ISTE for recognizing our accomplishments.  This would not have been possible without the incessant support that I have received from all PTU officials and of course the efforts put in by our affiliated colleges and Learning Centers. We shall continue to remain student focused.”

He also added that it has primarily been possible because of the hard work and constant efforts put by the students and staff in the development of the institute. In 2013, PTU had also bagged the prestigious CCI Technology Education Excellence Award in “Best University Promoting High quality Research at Master's and Doctoral Thesis Work” category.
